 ass ocean

Freiburg,   May 2018
Site specific dance performance

In the piece "Ass Ocean" 15 to 20 dancers are creating the moving image of an ocean with their asses. The waves of this ocean are dancing to the sound of live singing between the objects of the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst in E-Werk, as well as the ancient greek and roman sculptures at the Archäologische Sammlung der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. Together, they offer a perspective of humanity and its path through time within the eternal stillness of history and nature. We humans have always been and will always be moving through the vulnerable and challenging process of change.
